Paris 2024: Blind football history will be written on Day 10
With just two days left in the Paris 2024 Paralympics and the Closing Ceremony on the horizon, there’s still plenty of exciting action to catch on September 7. Here’s what you need to know:
Blind Football Finals The blind football final is set to be a historic match. Argentina and France will face off, making history no matter who wins. Argentina reached the final by beating five-time champions Brazil on penalties, while France won 1-0 against Colombia with a late goal from Frederic Villeroux. With France playing at home and backed by the Eiffel Tower, this match is one not to miss.
Wheelchair Tennis: Japanese Dominance? In wheelchair tennis, Japan’s Tokito Oda will compete against Great Britain’s Alfie Hewett for the men’s singles gold medal. Japan’s Yui Kamiji has already made headlines by beating Diede de Groot from the Netherlands to win the women’s singles gold.
Para Swimming: Final Showdowns The final day of Para swimming will feature some thrilling races.
