Pakistan’s Asim Khan to participate in London Open Squash Championship

Nov 6, 2024

Professional squash player Asim Khan is gearing up to compete in the London Open Squash Championship, which begins tomorrow (Wednesday). The tournament is part of the PSA World Tour and has a prize pool of $33,000.

Asim is the sole representative from Pakistan in this event and will face New Zealand’s Temwa Chileshe, who is currently ranked 104th globally, in the opening round. If he wins this match, Asim, ranked 60th in the world, will move on to the second round, where he will face the tournament’s top-seed, Auguste Dussourd from France.

Asim has had a strong season, claiming his first PSA title in September after defeating England’s top-seeded Nick Wall in the Charlottesville Open final. Earlier that month, he also won the Jones Creek Open Squash Championship title in the United States.
