Pakistan crush Bangladesh in Junior Hockey Asia Cup
Pakistan continued their strong performance in the 2024 Junior Asia Cup Hockey with a commanding 6-0 win over Bangladesh in Muscat, Oman, on Tuesday.
This victory marked Pakistan’s second consecutive win in the tournament, following their 7-2 win over China in the opening match.
Sufiyan Khan was the standout player, scoring a hat-trick to secure the win. He opened the scoring with a penalty corner in the 23rd minute, putting Pakistan ahead. Mohammad Ammad quickly added a second goal with a field goal, making it 2-0.
Sufiyan struck again in the 32nd and 43rd minutes, completing his hat-trick and extending the lead. Rana Waleed added a fifth goal in the 51st minute, and Zakiya Hayat finished the scoring in the final minute, bringing the score to 6-0.
Mohammad Ammad was named Player of the Match for his all-around performance.
Pakistan’s next match is on November 30th against Oman.
