KARACHI: The ICC Champions Trophy stopped at Karachi’s famous Burns Road food street on Friday, becoming the center of attention. Fans gathered to take pictures and videos of the shiny, glittering trophy.

A photoshoot was also held at one of Burns Road’s historic buildings. The balcony of the building was selected for its stunning heritage backdrop.

The trophy arrived in Karachi, also known as the “City of Lights,” earlier in the afternoon. It was later taken to the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre at the National Bank Cricket Arena.

The trophy’s journey began with a grand launch at Pakistan Monument in Islamabad last Sunday. After the unveiling, it was displayed at the iconic Faisal Mosque and then toured several cities, including Taxila, Khanpur, Abbottabad, Murree, and Nathiagali, before reaching Karachi.

The silver trophy will stay in Karachi until November 25. Afterward, it will start an international tour beginning in Afghanistan on November 26, visiting all participating countries. It will also visit India from January 15 to 26 before returning to Pakistan, the host nation.
