Sajid Khan’s seven-wicket masterclass dismantles England for 291
On day three of the second Test in Multan, England were all out for 291, falling behind Pakistan’s first-innings score of 366.
Ben Duckett was the standout for England, scoring a brilliant 114, but several key batsmen couldn’t build on their starts to get big scores.
England resumed the day at 239-6, with Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse at the crease. However, both were quickly dismissed, and the rest of the innings didn’t last long. Jack Leach was left not out on 25 as England’s innings came to an end.
Pakistan now lead by 75 runs after their first innings. Off-spinner Sajid Khan was the star with the ball, taking 7 wickets for 111 runs. He dismissed Duckett, along with Harry Brook, Joe Root, and Ollie Pope, shifting the match in Pakistan’s favor.
Earlier, Ben Duckett’s century had put England in a strong position, showing some fight in response to Pakistan’s total.
For Pakistan, they scored 366 in their first innings, with debutant Kamran Ghulam top-scoring with a solid 118, and Saim Ayub contributing 77 runs. Jack Leach impressed with 4 wickets for 114 runs, while Brydon Carse took 3 wickets for 50.
