PAK vs BAN: Babar Azam’s batting position revealed for first Bangladesh Test
KARACHI: Babar Azam, Pakistan’s star batter, will bat at number four in the first Test match against Bangladesh, according to sources. Abdullah Shafiq will continue as an opener, and captain Shan Masood will bat at number three.
The sources also mentioned that batter Muhammad Huraira is likely to make his debut in this match.
Pakistan and Bangladesh will play two matches in the ICC World Test Championship, with games scheduled in Rawalpindi from August 21 to 25 and in Karachi from August 30 to September 3.
Since the pitch is expected to favor bowlers, Pakistan plans to include three fast bowlers and one spinner for the first Test. The fast bowlers will be Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Mir Hamza.
The Bangladesh men’s cricket team arrived in Lahore on August 13 to play the series. They were taken to a hotel under tight security from the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
