Naseem Shah recovers from injury, available for second Australia ODI
Pakistan’s right-arm fast bowler Naseem Shah has fully recovered from his recent injury and is ready to play in the second ODI against Australia, set to take place at Adelaide Oval on Friday. Naseem returned to training with the team and bowled at full strength, confirming his availability for the crucial match.
In the first ODI, Naseem had to leave the field during his eighth over due to severe cramps. Despite the setback, he made a strong impact in Pakistan’s narrow two-wicket loss, recording bowling figures of 1/39 in 7.2 overs and contributing a powerful 40-run knock with one four and four sixes.
Australia currently leads the three-match series 1-0 after their tight win in the opening game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Historically, Pakistan has struggled at the Adelaide Oval, with only one ODI win out of eight matches at the venue. That lone victory came back in 1996 under Wasim Akram’s captaincy, where Saqlain Mushtaq’s five-wicket performance helped Pakistan secure a 12-run win over Australia.
