The iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is gearing up for an exciting summer of cricket, with high-profile matches featuring India’s men’s team, Pakistan’s men’s team, and England’s women’s team.

As part of the preparations, the MCG has begun removing AFL goalposts and laying down drop-in pitches to get ready for the cricket season.

The international cricket action at the MCG kicks off on November 4, with Pakistan playing a white-ball series. Shortly after, India A will take on Australia A in a four-day match starting on November 7.

The highlight of the season will be the historic Boxing Day Test between India and Australia, which begins on December 26.

Adding to the excitement, the Women’s Ashes will feature a Day-Night Test between Australia and England starting January 30, adding to the intense summer cricket action.

India has had great success at the MCG in recent years, winning their first-ever Test series in Australia during the 2018-19 season, followed by another series victory in 2020-21.
