LAHORE: Players from Pakistan’s women’s cricket team have promised to give their best performance in the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Despite losing two warm-up matches, players Nashra Sandhu, Sadia Iqbal, and Sadaf Shamas remain positive about the tournament.

Nashra Sandhu shared, “Our preparation for the World Cup has been good. We have strong teams in our group, and we’ve made plans for them. Even though it’s very hot in Dubai, the training camp in Multan helped us a lot. We’ll do our best to perform well and win the World Cup for Pakistan.”

Sadia Iqbal added, “Our preparations have been strong. Playing the series against South Africa boosted our confidence. The pitches in Dubai suit spinners, and we’ve built our team combination with that in mind.”

Sadaf Shamas, excited about her second World Cup, said, “I’m really looking forward to this World Cup, and we are hopeful for good results.”

The Pakistan women’s team practiced for three hours at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium under the guidance of Head Coach Muhammad Wasim. The practice sessions were led by Assistant Coach and Fast Bowling Coach Jind Khan, Spin Bowling Coach Abdul Rehman, and Fielding Coach Hanif Malik.

It’s important to mention that Pakistan lost their first warm-up match on Saturday by eight wickets and faced another defeat against Bangladesh by 23 runs on Monday.

Pakistan’s first match in the tournament is set for October 3, where they will face Sri Lanka.
