ICC Champions Trophy Completes Pakistan Tour, Heads to Afghanistan
The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy concluded its eight-day tour across Pakistan on Monday and is now set to begin its international journey, starting with Afghanistan.
The glittering trophy, a symbol of cricketing excellence, arrived at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) headquarters in Lahore, marking the end of its Pakistan tour.
Highlights of the Trophy’s Journey Through Pakistan
The Champions Trophy began its journey in Islamabad on November 17 and traveled through several iconic locations, including Murree, Nathia Gali, Abbottabad, Khanpur Dam, Taxila, and Karachi.
In Karachi, the trophy was displayed at the historic Burns Road food street and Port Grand. Other notable stops included colleges, the Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) headquarters, Mohatta Palace, and the National Stadium.
Former Champions Trophy-winning captain Sarfaraz Ahmed added a special touch to the Karachi leg, attending an event at a local college. Greeted warmly by students and staff, Sarfaraz reflected on Pakistan’s historic 2017 victory, recalling it as an unforgettable moment for the team and the country.
“All the players remember every moment from that event. It was a milestone for Pakistan cricket,” Sarfaraz shared while posing for photos with students and the trophy.

The Champions Trophy will now embark on its global journey, with stops in the following countries:
- November 26–28: Afghanistan
- December 10–13: Bangladesh
- December 15–22: South Africa
- December 25–January 5: Australia
- January 6–11: New Zealand
- January 12–14: England
- January 15–26: India
- January 27: Trophy returns to Pakistan for the tournament start
