Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen rise in ICC ODI, Test Rankings
Pakistan’s star cricketers Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi saw positive changes in the latest ICC ODI and Test Rankings.
In the ODI Batting Rankings, Babar Azam continued his impressive reign at the top, holding on to the No. 1 spot with 822 rating points. Meanwhile, Imam-ul-Haq slipped slightly, dropping from 11th to 12th with 666 points, while Fakhar Zaman held firm in the Top 10, sitting in ninth place with 675 points.
ODI Bowling Rankings saw Shaheen Afridi climb three spots to reach the fourth position after his strong performance in the first ODI against Australia, where he took 2 wickets for 43 runs in his 10 overs, bringing his total to 655 points. On the other hand, Haris Rauf, despite taking three wickets in the same match, dropped four places to 27th, while Naseem Shah remained steady at 69th with 436 points.
In the Test Batting Rankings, Babar Azam rose to 17th despite missing two Tests against England. Mohammad Rizwan also moved up by two places to 20th, and all-rounder Salman Ali Agha advanced to 19th.
However, Pakistan’s Test captain Shan Masood and vice-captain Saud Shakeel faced setbacks, both dropping two spots to 59th and 9th respectively.
Test Bowling Rankings showed Shaheen Afridi retaining his 15th position, highlighting his consistent performance across all formats. Spinner duo Noman Ali and Sajid Khan also held onto their spots, while pacer Hasan Ali, who last played a Test earlier this year, moved up by one place to 35th.
