Pakistan’s Mueed Baloch wins another medal at World Military Games
KARACHI: Pakistan’s Mueed Baloch won another medal at the World Military Games in Venezuela.
The 23-year-old, representing the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), earned a silver medal in the 200-meter race, finishing in 21.72 seconds.
A Venezuelan athlete won the gold medal, completing the race in 21.69 seconds.
Earlier, Baloch won a gold medal in the 400-meter race, finishing in 48.20 seconds.
Baloch, from Karachi’s Shanti Nagar, is a national champion in both the 200-meter and 400-meter races.
He was named the fastest athlete after winning the 100-meter race at the 2018 Asian Junior Athletics Championship. Baloch has represented Pakistan in many international competitions, winning several times.
He also holds Pakistan’s national record in the 400-meter race, with a time of 46.73 seconds
