Pakistani athletes give remarkable performances at Chicago Marathon 2024
KARACHI: Pakistani athletes gave an outstanding performance at the 2024 Chicago Marathon, standing out among more than 50,000 runners.
Muhammad Amin Nadeem Mukaty led the Pakistani team, finishing the marathon in 2:44:32, placing 761st overall. This made him the fastest Pakistani at this year’s marathon.
Syed Sadiq Hussain Shah followed closely, completing the race in 2:52:24, while Nizar Nayani, a Pakistani-American, finished in 2:53:26. Another strong performance came from Shehryar Khursheed, who broke the 3-hour mark by finishing in 2:57:22.
Among the women, Sara Tahoor Lodhi was the fastest Pakistani, finishing in 3:45:54. She was followed by Semeena Khan, who completed the marathon in 3:52:47, and Nadia Rehman, who clocked in at 4:14:44.
The results of the Pakistani athletes in the Chicago Marathon represent a major achievement for Pakistan’s athletics scene.
